Que tu vehículo sea atacado con huevos no es broma. El daño a la pintura se debe principalmente al contenido del huevo y no al impacto.

Los huevos contienen azufre, que es un componente de dos aminoácidos tanto en la yema como en la clara del huevo. Poco después de que el huevo entra en contacto con el acabado de la pintura, el ácido comienza a grabar químicamente la superficie de la pintura, haciendo que se agriete y deteriore; esto se llama crazing. La resina de los árboles (savia) y los excrementos de pájaros también son ácidos y pueden causar un daño similar al acabado de la pintura si no se tratan.

La buena noticia es que, como otros problemas de la superficie del coche, se puede solucionar. Si eres un aficionado al detailing de fin de semana o nunca has trabajado con productos para el cuidado del coche, te explicaré lo que puedes hacer para resolver la mayor parte del problema. Si tienes más experiencia, te mostraré cómo resolver el problema por completo.

Sin embargo, si el contaminante ha penetrado más allá de la capa transparente y ha alcanzado la capa base, la única solución es volver a pintar la superficie. Desafortunadamente, es posible que no descubras que este es el caso hasta que hayas tratado el área con el proceso descrito a continuación.

Solución

Paso 1

No te demores, tienes que limpiar el huevo de la pintura lo antes posible. Si se deja reposar (especialmente en climas cálidos o bajo la luz solar directa), el huevo grabará su camino a través de la capa transparente y hacia la capa base de color del acabado de la pintura. En ese punto, el área tendrá que ser repintada para restaurar la condición original. Por esta razón, el tiempo es esencial.

Solo recuerda limpiar el área sin causar más daño a la pintura. NO uses toallas de papel, trapos viejos o cualquier otro paño/aplicador que raye la superficie. Además, no uses limpiacristales, que está diseñado para limpiar cristales. Si has hecho algo de esto, no entres en pánico. Te has dado más trabajo, pero se puede arreglar.

Con tu coche a la sombra para que el acabado de la pintura esté frío al tacto, lava tu coche con uno de los champús de lavado de coches nextzett. O, si tu coche ya está limpio, simplemente lava el área a tratar con un quick detailer como Perfect Shine para eliminar cualquier polvo suelto o suciedad en el área afectada para que no causes arañazos adicionales mientras tratas el área.

La clave es eliminar el contaminante para neutralizar sus propiedades corrosivas lo antes posible.

Paso 2

Ahora que la superficie está limpia y seca, necesitamos eliminar el acabado de pintura dañado. Esto se hace usando pulimento para coches. Dependiendo de la gravedad del daño, se determinará qué pulimento o pulimentos usaremos.

Si la pintura tiene arañazos profundos o se ve como la imagen de arriba, tendrás que pulir primero con No. 1 Clean & Polish. Los abrasivos fuertes pero precisos de No. 1 eliminarán de forma segura las capas de pintura dañadas. No te preocupes, estamos hablando de micrones, así que no eliminarás por completo la capa transparente. Si lo aplicas a mano, usa una toalla de algodón suave para obtener los mejores resultados. Pule la superficie hasta que la apariencia del daño se reduzca. Esto podría llevar de dos a tres aplicaciones, así que sé paciente.

Si lo aplicas con máquina, como una orbital de doble acción, aplícalo en un ajuste medio-alto (varía según la máquina) con una almohadilla de espuma de corte.

Si el daño es lo suficientemente profundo como para que el pulimento no lo elimine, necesitarás lijar en húmedo o hacer que un detailer profesional repare el defecto.

Paso 3

Después de pulir con No. 1 Clean & Polish, pule la superficie con No. 2 One Step Polish. One Step Polish es un pulimento de grado más fino y mejorará la profundidad y el brillo de tu pintura. Después de pulir, la superficie debería verse significativamente mejorada con la mayor parte del defecto eliminado.

Paso 4

Después de pulir la pintura, debes sellar el acabado con una capa protectora de cera. Aplica No. 3 Polish & Wax con una almohadilla aplicadora de espuma para proteger la pintura contra la oxidación, los rayos UV, los excrementos de pájaros, la lluvia ácida, la suciedad de la carretera y cualquier futuro ataque de huevos (si fueras tan desafortunado).

Prevención

Por supuesto, no hay forma de evitar que alguien arroje huevos a tu coche. Sin embargo, asegúrate de aplicar cera regularmente a tu coche para ralentizar los efectos de los huevos, pero también de los contaminantes cotidianos como los excrementos de pájaros, la savia de los árboles y la suciedad de la carretera, que también pueden dañar tu pintura. La protección adecuada del coche y el momento oportuno lo son todo. Pule y encera tu coche dos veces al año si lo usas a diario. Aunque dura entre cuatro y seis meses, puedes aplicar SF3 Premium Protect con más frecuencia para asegurar una protección suficiente.

También se recomienda llevar una toalla de microfibra limpia y una botella de quick detailer como Perfect Shine en tu coche, en caso de que estés lejos de casa, para poder limpiar cualquier excremento de pájaro, savia o huevo de inmediato.

Recuerda que cuanto antes puedas eliminar el contaminante, menos daño tendrás que reparar en la pintura.

In 2000, einszett entered the North American market for the first time, beginning with a small number of specialty dealers who recognized the quality and potential of the brand.

Among the earliest was Newport Beach Porsche, which became einszett’s first dealer in 2001. From those first placements, English-language product labels, catalogs, and marketing materials helped introduce einszett to a new audience of enthusiasts and professionals in the United States and beyond.
